The joy of imagination lead me to celebrancy. Have you experienced that moment when two or three people come together and create something new in the world? Of course you have; imaginative thinking is boundless and memorable and powerful. It is the foundation of creating a great ceremony, too.

As a longtime storyteller with Mythopoetica Storytelling I have always longed for that deep space between story, teller and listener. Ordinary concerns fall away, and the story experience inspires us to new imaginative thinking.

Throughout my years as a Waldorf teacher, I also experienced the magnificence of imagination in an educational context. Working closely with the expressive arts and the cycles of the year. Creating nature tables to honour the changing seasons and the elements, with colour, earth, water, and beauty. Telling a new story each day from world culture. Honouring each birthday and class event with an original poem, a ritual, a song.

In my own large, extended & blended family, mealtime blessings spoken in Cree, Spanish, Arabic, Blackfoot, Farsi or Slovakian has shaped new community. Working with differently abled groups as my own special needs son developed each new capacity taught me to celebrate the joy of each new step.

A lifetime of studying philosophy and world religions; learning and retelling the myths of many cultures; and experiencing different spiritual practices has fostered a love for ritual and the language of spirit, the true elements of ceremony.

As life passage celebrant, mythopoetic storyteller and non-denominational minister, I am committed to you, your creative choices, and your ceremony.
